Privacy policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Tuesday Boutique collects, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. Tuesday Boutique is committed to handling your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988.
1. Who we are
Tuesday Boutique is an online store based at 3-5 Woburn St, Darch WA 6065, Australia, selling to customers in Australia. Tuesday Boutique is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact: info@tuesdayboutique.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the information you give us when you place an order or contact us, including your name, delivery address, email address, phone number (if provided), and order details. If our payment provider is used, payment card details are handled directly by that provider; Tuesday Boutique never stores your full card number. We also collect basic device and browsing information, such as the pages you view, through the analytics tools named in section 5.
3. How and why we use it
We use your information to process and deliver your order, provide customer support, respond to enquiries, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and, only with your consent, send you marketing updates (see section 7). We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we hold and protect it
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems operated by our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and related service providers. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Payment card data is never stored by Tuesday Boutique directly; it is handled by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider.
5. Overseas disclosure
Because Tuesday Boutique ships products directly from our partner fulfilment centres rather than holding its own inventory – this direct model is also how we keep our costs, and your prices, down – your order information (name, delivery address, phone number, and order contents) is disclosed to the fulfilment partner handling your order, which may be located overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient of your information handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, and we remain accountable for how your information is handled even when it is processed overseas.
Our store platform (Shopify) and related infrastructure providers may also process data outside Australia as part of normal e-commerce hosting.
Analytics and advertising tools: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the store is found and used, Google Ads conversion tracking (including enhanced conversions) to attribute orders to advertising, and Microsoft Clarity for anonymised session recordings and heatmaps that show how pages are actually used. These tools collect device and browsing information such as the pages you view, the source that referred you, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and your interactions with the page; Google may additionally receive hashed order data so a purchase can be matched to an ad click. They are operated by Google and Microsoft and may process and store this information outside Australia, including in the United States. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and your browser’s own cookie and tracking controls apply to these tools as well.
You may also request deletion or a portable copy of your data, or withdraw a marketing consent, at any time by writing to info@tuesdayboutique.com.
6. Marketing communications
We only send you marketing emails if you have opted in (for example, at checkout or through a newsletter sign-up). Every marketing email includes a working, one-click unsubscribe link that does not require you to log in or provide further information; unsubscribe requests are actioned promptly. Order confirmations and shipping updates are sent regardless, as they relate directly to your purchase.
7. Your rights: access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, by emailing info@tuesdayboutique.com. We will respond to reasonable requests without charge.
8. How to make a complaint
If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at info@tuesdayboutique.com so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as our analytics and advertising tools change. The current version always applies, and the effective date below reflects the most recent update.
Effective date: 16 August 2026.
